I first fell in love with the process of art making by using the generic yellow No. 2 pencils that littered my elementary school crayon box. As a kid, I enjoyed the challenge of trying to duplicate an image exactly. In my more recent graphite works, I still hold this almost obsession though often times overlain with obfuscation.
