Expectation: What You Take

This piece, though not yet complete - is an intimate look into lived experiences (some offering a look into the absurdity of entitlement by others to a body that is not their own and some painful to reflect on). I hope to make a series that peers into themes of gender in a gendered world where appearance determines how others engage with you. Currently, I am using my own experiences a fem-presenting non binary individual, relying on past with relationships, sexuality, and gender. I feel that it is important to share in these experiences and give ourselves a space to confront, condemn, comfort, and heal.

With this draft, I am looking at trying my hand with more color. While I still have a ways to go before I am completely happy with the work I produce using this medium, I am confident that I will find my way. I look forward to updating you all with this piece’s progress.
